EDITORIAL 4000 CITIZENS
Ladonia has now more than 4000 citizens. Laszlo Robert from Romania became number
4000.
REVOLUTION IN LADONIA The great revolution started on March 9th by Thomas Diestel, minister of accomodation when he exhorted: "Also I am for a change of staff! Let's sack the queen and Fernando and install the S/S as dictator and Countess Madeleine as new queen (as she already is the only one of us who derives from a real royal family and not from "make believe" ones like the rest of you!) It would make great headlines, especially in fancy gossip magazines!" Tamas Bako,(Lord Thomas), minister of humor followed: "Yes, maybe it's not so good the title of 'Conductor' for our S/S, but I don't think it sounds that nazist because it was weared by a nazist leader. But the title of 'Ironchancellor' sounds a very good idea. About Countess Madeleine, our next queen, the title of 'Queen Madeleine of Wisconsin' sounds quite good. What about electing S/S Lars as dictator? How should we proceed? Should we start a voting? And if we do, what type of voting? Only a cabinet- voting, or a great voting where all Ladonians can tell their opinions? The bad thing is that I can't imagine that all of the Ladonians will be on the side of the Revolution, so our revolting campaign could fall. Maybe if only cabinet members could vote, the Revolution would have more chance to overthrow the regime of the Presidency. First I would like to hear other cabinet members' opinion about the Revolution and the new regime. I'm looking forward to the rising of the Revolution and the fall of the Institution of Presidency! Worthy members of the Cabinet! Please write your opinions about the new administration! Together we could overthrow this old, cobwebbed regime of rearchy and make Ladonia a newer, better virtual nation! Fight for the Revolution!" Then it came up that the cabinet should vote for or against revolution. Step by step with hard argumentation the revolution was fought; words of wisdom were said, here by Tiit Mathiesen Ministry of the brain: "The revolution is, when idealistic, a construction of misguided positivists. On other occasions it is just a pragmatic tool to seize power. The problem of a revolutionary change is inherent in the utter futility of the initial task; to define the original set of circumstances, and to define the laws by which change will occur. The revolutionary is confined to the shortcomings of human mind - there will never be even theoretical possibilities to predict or understand the initial condition, the revolution or its results. Revolutions in the political sense, therefore belong to immature people and immature societies. The wise men rule and inluence in other ways-unless their craving is blood and power. Sci sapientem!" And from Lord Aslak, minister of propaganda: "It is quite widely known that the history of every major civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why and Where phases. For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question "How can we eat?", the second by the question "Why do we eat?" and the third by the question, "Where shall we have lunch?". Horatious complained and made an attack on the minister of unschooling, Gunnar Jarl: "It is EXTREMLY difficult for us to reach agreement about anything in Ladonia nowadays. I am one of the oldest ministers (counting my years in Ladonia), and I can say this was really a little easier in the beginning. There was a sense of a whole. Now everything is very private. Everybody has his/her little hobbies and hobby horses. Witness how Gunnar Jarl answers Lars Vilks. >> Anyway, I am understanding my job as humble servant of the cabinet to >> bring forward this case as a matter of decision. Cabinet! Will we go for >> revolution? Yes or No? >> >NO! (or my wife would make an inhouse revolution) Excuse me, but who cares about Gunnar's domestic situation? This is a state matter. I believe that in other, more established countries, this kind of reasoning (when found out) is called "corruption". I can live with virtual Ladonian corruption, but I also believe in calling a spade a spade. And why would the good wife make an inhouse revolution, really? Is she afraid to lose her title? She has been on the rocks (glacier) for a LONG time now, we haven't heard a word from her for ages. What's the use of a queen (or president) who just sits there, doing nothing? Oh yes, very avant-garde, very concept-art, very chic on the Continent, you might say. I call it laissez-faire and kindergarten". Also the vice president Erik Johansson begun to hesitate: "At first, I found this idea about a revolution very nice.. But now I'm not that sure.. The thing I've found strange about this revolution is that we, the cabinet, the ones who lead this country, are gonna perform this revolution.. What are we really revolting against?? The president?? But then, let's instead of having this revolution have an election(just like Mr. Parman also said).. I can't see the need for a revolution in Ladonia... Actually, I don't think it's RIGHT for us to do a revolution.. If there is to be a revolution in Ladonia, I think it should be a revolution of the people, by the people, for the people... Of course, maybe it's eonatic, in the meaning of creative.. But why not use our creativity for some other purpose? Okey, Ladonia has been silent for a while, maybe because of a lack of creativity.. But why do we have to be in such a hurry to do something??" And we heard from Sir Nemolom T.I.H, Earl of Wanderers, Head Secretary of the Special State Office of Nomads, Manager of The Zafigomchic: "My proposal is that we make the wind in the actual Ladonia our dictator and consultant. If the wind blows north, its NO, if it blows south its YES, if it is westwards blowing its MAYBE NOT, and if its east: MAYBE YES. Maybe the minister of the winds has something to say to this? Maybe it would be a lot easier if people used the wind where they were at the moment? And does it matter if the wind is a breeze or a storm?" On Wednesday 17th of March, Min. Bako, one of the most fierce revolutionaries, wrote the following:
SSSSSSS OOOOOOO RRRRRRR RRRRRRR Y Y
S O O R R R R Y Y
SSSSSSS O O RRRRRRR RRRRRRR YYYYYYY
S O O R R R R Y
SSSSSSS OOOOOOO R R R R Y
THE WAR It was count Ehrensvärd from Sweden who is the chairman in the establishment Krapperup. Before the independance of Ladonia Krapperup was the landowner. He suddenly claimed that "It has gone to far! We cannot accept". And he ran to the execution officer and the swedish police to get support. Happy Ladonia! She got a war in the operetta style, with a count swinging his sword. Will there be music and arias? The war is dancing, we have a good war. |

MINISTER OF FUTURE SCIENCE New minister is James Hartman. He presents his ministry: "I'm 34. Ladonia is really the first time I have been directly interactive and get to share my idea's and something I do little of listen to new points of view.
Learning rather then pointing a fingers. Anyone who can stand for what
he believes has faith. I gain the value of being part rather then apart
from the action. I believe its faith that keeps the Ladonian art project
alive and left alone even in the face of Fire, Vandles, and the Swedish Authority.
I hope the Ministry of Future Science can find other Ladonians with
the same faith to share there ideas even if its before its time. The
Ministry of Future Science is like an art project. It builds up over time.
Its branches are expaned. And the fruit of the labour is lived and not just
seen."

BARDAY
From Viborg in Denmark came the creative manager Henning Bruun-Schmidt.
In a good danish style he served the first drink in the Ladonia Bar
"Chez Le Screemin' Bass". It was a moment of great honour
for the state secretary to swallow the "gammeldansk". From
now on we have on April 7th the BarDay.
FLYING EMBASSY The Flying Embassy has been away on important missions for a while. They have seen the creation of a black hole. - It was a dazzling experience, says officer commander Darkin to the Herald. As it seems we now have a Ladonia Black Hole.
HUNGARY AND HISTORY OF THE FUTURE Hungarian Language and future science are some good topics that can be reach through the ladonian citizen Papus. He sais:
"I'm a historian of the future. Have a look at http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/Forum/4253/
- the project is just being started, so there is not much to see yet,
but over the years I've collected a lot of backgroud material on the
topic, and as time lets me, all this stuff will find its proper place.
It's worth coming back in a couple of weeks and then, again in a couple
of months".
ANOTHER DAY Lord Aslak, Minister of Propaganda suggests the following contribution to the Ladonian Year:
January 1 : Yet Another Day (Propaganda Day ? where all surpressed felleings
and thought are brought out in the open.)'
THE SPY The bright among you may have noticed that The Zafigomchic have been down for a while. This is due to some problems with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the USA, wich opinion is that the technology exhibited at our site is a security risk. (What if some unstable third world country got access to this technology? Bla, bla, so what?) We will soon be back though, updated, with lots of new technology, some of it even for sale (like the revoulutinary new IQ-alizer). In the mean time both (all?) sides of our politically active may find interest in "The Spy", a modified senteniel zafigomchic robot, able of capturing images and x-ray images, heat, sound, radioactivity and odeurs. It may operate at low power for up to 12 days, and is also equipped with a self destruct device. It is now for sale at only 999.99 oertugs.

CONTROVERSIAL LIST OF GREATEST MEN OF THE MILLENIUM Lord Aslak, minister of propaganda has presented a list of the 10 most important men of the millenium. The list is of course controversial. First there are no women and second it includes the state secretary. The state secretary is strongly protesting against being included in the list as it sounds to much of ntionalism. Anyway give it a thought and come with comments: 1. Albert Einstein (1879-1955), Swiss-German-American physicist and the man behind our present view on practicaly all material issues. 2. Nikolaus Kopernikus (1473-1543), Polish atronomer and the first to realize that the Earth is NOT the center of the Universe. 3. Carl Gustav Jung, (1875-1961), Swiss psyciatricer, astrologer and mysticist that, among other things, launched the ideas of syncronicity. 4. Steve Jobs (1955-), American computer entrepreneur and founder of Apple Computers, whose ideas was the foundation for the interface that made computers easy-to-use for everybody. 5. Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), Italian artist, inventor, architect, etc. - Mr. Renaissance. 6. Immanuel Kant (1724-1804), German philosopher and physisist with great interest in the logic mind. 7. Rembrandt Harmenzoon van Rijn (1606-1669), Dutch artist and maybe the greatest artist in the history of mankind. 8. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), Austrian composer and wonder kid for life. 9. Lars Vilks, (1946 - ), Artist and creator of the NImis and Arx, founder of the Remony of Ladonia - the center of the World). 10. Adam Smith (1723-1790), British economer who saaw the close and strong bondsn between politics and economies. Gunnar Jarl, minister of unschooling has commented the list in this way: "No I don't think it's a good idea. At least not with the minds suggested. They all have been very active in doing the opposite of the motto in The Mad Farmer Liberation Front Manifesto: "Praise ignorance, for what man has not yet encountered he has not destroyed." First of all the suggested gentlemen have been doing all but keeping their fingers out of things, and secondly they are all men for some reason. Sincerely, would the top ten greatest minds through the past millenium be men? Give us a brake minister Grönholm, look what men are doing in the Balkan right now, not to forget what Swedish men are trying to do in Ladonia!" Horatius, minister of sophistry, answered Gunnar Jarl: "I think Gunnar Jarl should read a new book. "Praise ignorance, for what man has not yet encountered he has not destroyed." There is ignorance and ignorance. To think that mankind, in its present situation, can choose the road of blissfull ignorance is naive. We need to know, and above all *realise*, more, not less. Some things would be good to forget, but that kind of forgetting is an art. To teach that art might be the role of the Ministry of Unschooling -- if it were more active. There are also men and men. Those who make war in Balkan cannot be put in the same bag as Einstein, Mozart or Leonardo. The former should be called boys." |

The Ministry of Health, however has chosen them through throwing of lots and dedicates itself to welcoming all seekers of comfort and meaningfulness. In those two words the dreams of many erring souls may be summarised. We see no point in producing philosophical contemplations for bettering life which few people will read and which will produce in those faithful few little more than new wrinkles in their left brains. Integration is necessary, and sensory grounded information - experience. All you Ladonians out there in the diaspora, you need to live your thoughts, lest they be empty - and no thoughts at all. On War & Peace. A scientific Latin diagnosis label on a disease is a most dangerous thing - it may kill you - sensory grounded inquiry into the nature of the symptoms produced by it, however opens doors to a field existing in 4+ dimensions that is the real you, where deep down is hidden the gentle Christ-like power of will, creativity, unconditional love, all merging with the entire world field, and these 4+ dimensions have power over time and space and matter - when fully awake one day we all become avatars and magicians.....we will be able to do and able to heal and understand and able to change things... but let us already today send as much love and reconciliation we can to all scenes of autrocities, on the Balkan, in the heart of Africa, and elsewhere, also to fairly recent scenes of autrocities in Central Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe, and Balkan, when today's perpetrators were victims, and let the western leaders gain some better illumination in their brains than throwing more petrol on the fire. They should have been educated, if only scolarly, and known what blind raging dark sides may be triggered in Orthodox Panslavic hearts of men living on the embers of religious and territorial conflicts reaching way back beyond the Ottoman Empire and Germany-Austrian expansionist interests up until both World Wars and who thus by nature do not run and leave their boots behind when humiliating correcting bombs are falling - they are influenced by a powerful aspect of the world field. Let's pray for the Western leaders too, for all our world, for everybody trampled upon and for everybody unconsciously starting such stampedes. When all voices are allowed and heard (which hasn't happened yet), even in the hearts of the most bitter of enemies, an endearment of love, however small, will inevitably be sown, a third force of reconciliation will enter as from above, and differences will transform into manifoldness and peace - both war and peace are an overlooked third force holding a polarity between two points in the world field - thus war is nothing but the chaotic aspect of peace, and awareness is the difference. Dr. E. von Bock, Minister of Health. |
