THE COMPLEXITY OF JUSTITIA
As most of you know Ladonia is heavy engaged in courtcases with Sweden. The lates verdict from September, gave, at least a temporary freedom for Nimis and Arx, while Omfalos was condemned to be whiped out. Our enemy (the count who is, after all, doing extremly much for our country) has appealled the verdict. And so has Ladonia, concerning the Omfalos. And now: Time will run, making more and more history of things which from the beginning couldn't be taken as the real reality (whatever that is). The world is not about things or courtcases, it is about information. And we inform, like we do now. If anything is close to reality it is information. And seen through the huge amounts of information Ladonia can be visited. Real soil and constructions that would not be what they are without information.

ABOUT FREEDOM FROM LAWS AND RESTRICTIONS - CABINET DISCUSSI0N
A great discussion in the cabinet was opened with a few word found on the Ladonia Discussion Board by the state secreatry:

"The King's person is sacred; he cannot be censured or accused. The responsibility rests with his Council." My declaration states "The Royality and Nobility of Ladonia are sacred; They cannot be censured or accused. The responsibility rests with no one!"

Minister James von Hartman responded:

"This law if accepted would prevent a lot of future trouble from outside forces. I would suggest adoption of this as our law, with a review of the whole Constitution of the Kingdom of Norway incase there are further articles to make into laws with a Ladonian twist or application."
And then came the outburst from Erik Johansson, Deputy President:
"This is certainly NOT a good idea. Why should the royalty and nobility have those benefits and not "ordinary" people??? I can't see any reason for having this law. And if we decide to have it, at least I won't care about it, I accuse anyone whenever I want to. Do we really want ladonia divided into upper- and lowerclass? I don't think so. So let's not give one group of people special benefits.
I like that thing about total liberty... That sounds nice... That's another reason not to make up any laws. Every law we make decreases the freedom of the people."

Minister John Parman showed his bitter irony and was probably in bad temper when he handled the matter with a rather rude language:
"OH, that's a fucking fantastic idea, lets all hear it for Ladonia, the only fucking place in the world with more infallability than the fucking Vatican City. Good to go on folks, this is a great way to show you've got what it takes to lead a country. And by the way, I doubt that the King of Norway has any power at the moment, are you sure that this is a law, or is this another ceremonial declaration for a ceremonial monarch?
If you would would like Ladonia to become a profit-taking corporation that sells titles like candy, then be my guest. But if you really believe in Ladonia, nothing like this should ever have crossed your mind.
I find it amazing that the people of Ladonia have all come to be nobility. More, I ask if this law passes: In a nation where one can legally tell a lie, who is telling the truth?  good luck on that one folks!!"

And then our president Fernando, speaking very wisely:
"1) I endorse the proposal of our minister of Transportation, Matthew Sinclair. The law shuold read as follows: "All Ladonians shall be free to speak their minds without fear or accusation or censure, so long as they are not attempting to unfairly ruin another Ladonian's good name. Non ducor, duco."
2) regarding all recent good news on the judicial front, I consider we should celebrate our victories with a brand new slogan for the Remony of Ladonia. That should, of course, be in Latin. My proposal is: "Libertas tota" (total liberty). All the best and long live Ladonia.
 Non ducor, duco!!!"

Minister Thomas Bako brought forward the idea of a Supreme Senate, certainly an ambitious project:
"The Ladon Supreme Senate should be the replacement of the ineffective
Ladonian Parliament. The Senate would have the following duties:
- Shall create and approve laws
- Shall authorize the modification of the
constitutional law in specific cases
- Shall vote on specific themes
- Shall have the right to give a vote of no confidence for the Cabinet
(this would lead to the re-election of the Cabinet)
or in specific cases Her Majesty the Queen of Ladonia
- Shall approve treaties with other nations, micronations, organizations
- Shall elect the President of Ladonia
- Shall supervise the work done by the Cabinet"

Then came a relief in these enormously serious discussion as Countess and minister Madeleine mentioned the "Supreme Pizza":
"In the USA the only thing that can be SUPREME is a Pizza (with the exclusing of the Supreme Being), everything else needs to bend to the will of the majority. In Ladonia, where almost all of the citizens hold significant posts, there is no need for a Supreme Senate. Our "Senate" is comprised of a free majority that decides issues coming before it."
One must say that the impressive creative forces in Ladonia Cabinet can make all sorts of questions end in a totally unexpected way. This might have been too much for minister Thomas Bako, though he is minister of humour. He immediately resigned:

"I, Archduke Thomas Bako, I would like now to bring my Ladonian political career to an end.
I would like to keep my Ladonian citizenship and nobility only.
It was a pleasure to work with you. I am proud of what I did in Ladonia and I am proud of my political career in Ladonia, but now I think this is the moment to begin an intermicronational career, as I am now more experienced concerning micronations.
Thomas Bako
MODERATIVE BRANCH
IMPERIAL TERRITORY OF ST-DENIS
SACRO IMPERIO DE REUNIAO"

Hmmmmm, our good minister is obviously running around and collecting titles in the world of micronations. No hard feelings, we still think he should remain with his strange humour in Ladonia. So please stay, dear Thomas!
Summary: More freedom to the royal family and nobility-freedom to everyone-supreme senat-supreme pizza.

AIRPORT
After we got this letter from citizen Einar Bolstad, we have started to build an airport in Ladonia:
"As an airline employee I´m of course interested in establishing a national airline, a so called flag carrier, for Ladonia. In order to do so, Ladonia needs an airport. This is an area where I have some insight as I´m also the holder of a glider pilot license. Possibly the airline could use only gliders. The possibilities are endless, well almost at least."
The airport will be situated on a part of our main road, no. 1. It is on a slope which means that when aircrafts are landing they go upwards and vice versa. We will also ask all road-users to step aside when the aircrafts are coming and going. The airport will open 2000-01-01.

NEW MINISTER
The Ministry of Paganism and Magic, is in the charge of Lord Peter Monwell. As he presents his department:
"The Ministry will be a Central tool to develop alternative medicine and healing sources in the Ladonia aswell as in the rest of the free world, and and why not the not so free world, Sweden for example, and to be able to use the magic we have been taught for ages in a good way.  Beannacht Ort"
Minister Peter has also contributed with a poem in swedish "Calling for strength". In a way it is very useful. Placing your own name in the gap at the ending part of the rather long poem, you can achieve the strength you need:
 Kraften inom mig
Kraften i min högra hand, kraften bakom mig
Kraften i min vänstra hand, kraften framför mig
Kraften över mig och kraften under.
I alla åskådares ögon och i deras öron
 I hjärtat på alla skapelser
 Min Kraft är fullbordad.
 Idag omgärdar jag mig
 Med den Trefaldiga Kraften
 Ära till Gudarna
 Ära till Andarnas släkten
 Ära till de döda
 Och Ära till Druidernas visdom
Som lever i mig för evigt
 Så må det varda!

POEMS IN LATIN
This beautiful poem was given to Ladonia as tax. The name of the poet is Michiel Reynders:

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas!
Hoc est amoris poculum!
Doloris est antidotum!

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas
Dum nihil est in poculo,
Jam repleatur denuo!

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas
Nos jungit amicitia,
Et vinum praebet gaudia.

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas
Est vita nostra brevior,
Et mors amara longior.

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas
Osores nostri pereant!
Amici semper floreant!

Io vivat! Io vivat!
Nostrorum sanitas
Jam tota Academia
Nobiscum amet gaudia.

The latin poetry is at the moment prospering, here is one more that was written in Ladonia by Bertil Holmgren on a small piece of paper and handed over to the state secretary:
Nimis Fata Ladonia
Amfora Herodes Rex
Nil Exodus Robur
Ad Astra Simplex Mortis
Par Memo Arx Solemnis

I would say that both poems are not to difficult to translate at least not into Ladonian.

A VERY INTERESTING ARTWORK
Up
Ladonian citizen Ståle Sörensen has produced a most fascinating and intriguing work of art. As you can see in the picture it is partly an aquarium. The goldfish swimming around cannot be seen but it should be there. In the middle of the box an empty space contains a projector showing a film. The projection is to be found on the wall outside the box. In the film the artist is trying to swim. It comes to my mind that it might be a work about the relation between man and water, about technology and reality. It is probably a true picture of the society of information.

AT THE END OF THE DAY
A word from our Minister of Health
In study years I read a little paper by Tom Elsdale, who was inspired by therandom grinding of pebbles at an ocean beach. He believed in instability. Ithink that is truly important. Instability could be the neccessary interfacebetween matter and mind, causality and spirituality - just in the form offree thought and simplicity itself - when you throw a die and it tumblesaway chaotically, it could finally land with any one of its faces up. If youhave the psychokinetic ability to influence the outcome (and many Ladoniansas well as other people have, it is all prevailing), you need apply no extraenergy of the measurable kind, the die is free to land as you wish.In Process Work Psychology (PWP), founded by the physicist Arnold Mindell, who became a jungian, the physical human body is monitored by a Dreambody,or if you will, an invisible cloud carrying information (n.b. not DNAmolecules, which are quite visibly streched out in three dimensions).Especially dramatic and interesting are interactions between these twobodies in near death situations. I attended last winter's PWP intensivecourse. The PWP people seem unaware that most of their important discoverieswere already taught by the Eastern mystic Gurdjieff more than half a centuryearlier. Thus PWP seems to be another manifestation of something alreadyexisting rather than a new flash of genius.
This already existing realm should begin, without a doubt, according to Sufiterminology used in the Gurdjieff school, with the alam-i arvah, or quitesimply a world of dream-stuff and spirits. It is all like the Russianbabushka dolls; the innermost and solid one corresponds to the physicalworld of things or alam-i asjam, then follows the mentioned alam-i arvah, thereafter next babushka is the alam-i imkan, the world of possibilities, where time no longer "runs out", next again is unfathomable, beyond countingand measurements...
So where do we put the invisible cloud?
If you watch the sea from the site of the formerly excisting but since manyyears into the sea washed out house of health of Ladonia, you might seeswells and rocks and clouds all over the sky, and see the swells marchtowards you in their typical rythmic yet unexpectedly disordered fashion, the rocks solid and motionless and now in the end of October rather cold, but the clouds never the same from one moment to next, just like weourselves when our outer shells of artificially aquired bon-tonpersonalities become cracked and fall away in deep frustrations with thestate of affairs of our puny lives - we become ghosts blown by all winds, realizing not even our thoughts are ours, they are wind and breeze, hail andrain...
And we, with all our medals and other tokens of honour? If you watch the sea the site of the formerly existing but since many yearsinto the sea washed out house of health of Ladonia, you might be like therocks and the swells and the clouds all over the sky - all that, andnothing. And in nothing, the invisible cloud could enter.
It would promise a mesmerizingly wonderful life.
Best Regards, domestic & international,
E. von Bock. Minister of Health
