The now so famous Omfalos is to be treated in court; the trial taking place in Malmö on the 24th of October. Nimis and Arx is not a part of this trial, at this moment it seems as if these pieces are set free and actually accepted. Omfalos, the stone pillar, 1,60 high, pointing out the center of the world, is about 1/1000 of the total constructions. Ernst Billgren, the owner of the piece, is also involved in the trial. We are looking forward to an exciting autumn in the artworld including court, lawyers and the complaining landowner.

It could be that he is using a hotel either owned by or related to our dear minister. Could we then accuse the minister of cooperating with the terrorists? No, rather the opposite. He knows that the best way to handle a terrorist is to offer him comfort and relaxation. "Thoughts and feelings about the recent terror act on Manhattan and in Washington. First of all I want to say that my thoughts go out to all friends, family, relatives and everybody I know in USA. Especially my friends and all the lovely people I've met and got to know during my travelling in southeast Texas. I was recently planning a trip to US but got caught up in work so I couldn't go. I was very sad about that, but am now in shock over how close I came to the mayhem in New York.
It's still hard to see what this can bring on but one hope that Nato and USA will not retaliate blindly... This is an act thought up by totally insane minds. The persons behind this deserves no mercy and one hope that they will never smile again as long as they live... It's hard even to think up a punishment suitable enough for these acts. But we should not act as the terrorists do and sacrifice innocent and oppressed people
Let's not forgot about one thing - the constant ongoing terrorist rhetoric about "the great Satan" and that they say "America is their enemy"... That is something no sane person can understand and take in, as long as you're not a brainwashed fanatic of some sort I guess... That rhetoric has not in my eyes ever been met. It's quite interesting, because if one took those kinds of statements apart and look at them and spread the rhetoric that follows of that dissection I think it could be very interesting...
How can possibly America be "Satan" or "the enemy"? What is America? It's by size the greatest democracy in the world. America is nothing more than it's inhabitant, and those are living in a free society which allow them a freedom of speech, thought and so on. So what is it that can threaten anybody if those are not the very things you want to attack? America is a social and political construction made up over the last 300 years or so. It is virtually made of parts of the whole planet population, even Muslims - since it's been a symbol of freedom of the individual. So the Muslims in USA or anywhere outside Afghanistan and other fanatic Muslim societies are as threatened as the rest of us. The only "true Americans" are the native Indians and they can't possibly have threatened the terrorists. The whole discussion about a sacred war and such are baloney and totally screwed when we think of what America really is. Through time all kinds of oppressed people have fled to the United States of America. And they have done so because of everyone's equal value, the freedom of thought, speech, religion and so on. Even people from our little "paradise" of Sweden have moved to the states throughout history for those reasons (note that I'm being sarcastic when I call Sweden a paradise ;-)
But this rhetoric is something still no one has dared to talk out loud about enough. The terrorist rhetoric is dangerous and lures free people everywhere to be deceived. We see lot of so-called "free thinkers" defending the terrorist acts as "understandable". We also see traces of that type of thinking on TV as soon as there is a big international gathering of some sort. We had it here in Sweden; stone throwing hooligans destroying for innocent people in Gothenburg this summer and the same in Genoa, Italy."

"My brother Scott video taped a Candle & Prayer Vigil on Saturday September 15th at 7 P.M. at Main Square in Highland. There where people handing out small candles to other people in the crowed. Church Ministers from several denominations where expressing there views on the events and leading short prayers. Followed by a moment of silence. Almost total, except for a few young children it was still. With songs and darkening evening sky our camera started to blur out as the sea of candles turned the flames to wonderful orb like balls of light in the distance. As for me I saw more American flags on cars, in and on homes, in shops and a willingness to help one another. An a call especially for blood drives.. I admire the heroic people who work to rescue there fallen co-workers and the original victims of this tragedy. The images of aircraft slamming into the buildings seemed Hollywood like. The outcome was truly an unthinkable. The well documented images speak for themselves."

Igor Galaev asks if the words increase and decrease should be followed by "in" or "of". "I've seen the usage of both forms. If both forms are allowed, is there any difference?

Generally "in" follows increase/decrease except before numbers. "He claims the decrease in crime is due to the increase of 10% in employment." "A decrease of 4 degrees will cause an increase in sales."
Many people use "of" however when the following noun is regarded as a countable. "The increase of women to the course surprised everyone." This is a short form (or contamination) of "The increase in the number of women ..."
If you stick to "in" after increase/decrease except before a following number, and then use "of", you shouldn't go wrong.

I think it will be a hit. HULA_KUBB_LADON.... 1000 year old Viking game made anew. The Viking is using the proper form for Hula Players. Perhaps a lightweight plastic version may work also for children.
I also tried boiling pins it works fine with a heavy plastic Hula.
