Result of the Sweden election

Filed under: Election 2010, Ladonia state affairs, Events in Ladonia — Lars Vilks @ 7:02 pm

The result of the election on the 31st of July can now be made official. The election on the Internet is closed. The question was:

“Should Sweden be allowed to be annexed to Ladonia?”

This is the result of the Internet voting: 34 Yes and 36 No
The result of the voting in Ladonia: 32 Yes and 10 No

This means 66 Yes and 46 No. Thus Sweden can be annexed to Ladonia. But it doesn’t mean that Sweden immediately has ceased to exist. Not yet as this matter has to be brought to the Ladonia cabinet for final decision

Press release concerning the revolt

Filed under: Ladonia state affairs, Events in Ladonia — Lars Vilks @ 4:55 pm

The proclamation sign and the flags have been explained in a press release:

“Press release
Stavnen calls upon justice in Ladonia and demands eternal life back to the people

A partition of the Ladonian people, “Stavnen”, proclaimed on Sunday, June 27th, 2010, eternal life set free. The Stavnish Bristers (conjunction of brothers and sisters) revealed that the tree of golden apples for a long time has, by Ladonian elite, been hidden from its rightful owners, the Ladonian people. Through history the people has been kept unknowing by a greedy elite that in all secrecy have prospered and sold out on eternal life.

During a nightly surprise attack, a particularly brave section of the Stavnians, liberated Ladonia from the iron claw that for so long has kept the people oblivious. The group, called “Bristers for a free eternal life’ claim to have found the source of eternal life, the tree of golden apples, hidden deep inside the Ladonian forests. It has been stated that the trees were concealed by the forces of weather and other dirty tricks and exploited by a secret elite.

The group’s spokes brister says: “Enough is enough. Someone had to do something. We have by this act declared the eternal life liberated. The Ladonian people have the right to know the truth. With lies and fear they have kept us in the dark. That’s why we, ‘Bristers for a free eternal life” felt called upon to save the only standing tree and to hide it in exile. We will now work to breed a strong and healthy plantation of golden apple trees and as soon as possible replant those on Ladonian land.”

For the people. For a free and just Ladonia. For the revolution!”

It is true that the golden apples have been hidden. But they are easy to find as the main tree is growing in the Tower of the Winds.

Proposal for a new law

Filed under: Ladonia state affairs — Lars Vilks @ 9:32 pm

“I propose Ladonia to pass the law on forced teddy hugging for fanatics and everyone guilty of physical violence. Anyone having violent ideas should be forced by law to hug a teddy animal until adrenalines and blood pressure reach the normal level. This ministry believes that teddy animals do have an effect. If not, then we should sentence these people to public teddy hugging: imagine a jihadist, a white suprematist, a rapist, a school shooter hugging a teddy animal for hours under the scrutiny of a crowd of people. That is, if medical cure does not work, humiliation will.
Minister Taru”

A comment from the new president

Filed under: Election 2010, Ladonia state affairs — Lars Vilks @ 12:00 pm

Just a short note from the old and new Presidents of Ladonia.

It was a very happy occasion today to open up the mailbox and be able to tell the President’s Shoes that they are the election winners! We hope this duality is not going to create a competition within the high office. They are both happy and surprised to be President’s. They also have a few clarifying questions: Does this mean they can both put “President” on their businesscards? So we in fact have not one but two (2) Presidents in Ladonia? The shoes also would like to congratulate the Norse Mystery Stone as our new Vice President! I’m sure our Vice President Kicki also wishes the new Presidents and Vice President the best. The shoes are of course not eating any candy even if it’s an Easter tradition here in the west. But they say that they perhaps will break out a bottle of Champagne later today to celebrate the equally unexpected as well-deserved Victory.

Best of waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllll to the new President(s).

State of Emergency, Admiral Coup suspended

Filed under: Ladonia state affairs — Lars Vilks @ 1:46 pm

The cabinet has not approved Admiral Pedro’s Coup proclaiming Ladonia in a state of emergency.

Minister Taru (situated in Finland) says: “Oh no, again….” It is not easy to know exactly what the minister means but it can hardly be an approval. Later she added:
“Last time we had a coup it because of too much beer, now because of too little. What should we think of that?”

Minister Trollbinda (situated in Australia) will look at the matter:

“Thank you for letting the Ministry of Procrastination know of your recent coup.

Unfortunately the Ministry has urgent filing that needs to be done at this time. Your coup has been placed in a queue and will be attended to as soon as one of the Ministry officers is available.

The Ministry values your insurrection and will contact you shortly.

Yours sincerely

Trollbinda
Eternal Minister of Procrastination and Poet Launderette”

Ladonia Parliament

Filed under: Parliament, Ladonia state affairs — Lars Vilks @ 10:45 am

Ladonia Parliament is at work again after a rather long break. The new parliament is using the new Water Building in Ladonia as well as its residence in the US. In the first report, Prince George Nelson, Head of the Ladonia Parliament, brings these news:

“Ladonia Parliament in the United States has taken out 2 weeks of ads in a Riverside County Newspaper in a Southern California newspaper in the United States, telling the people of the United States, that the Ladonia Parliament mourns the lost of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, in the United States. We now have 7 members in the Ladonian Parliament. The Ladonian Parliament has voted to back the people of Palestine in there right to have there own nation. We have also voted for the Ladonian Navy to put a blockage on Israel, until they let the people of Palestine get goods by sea.

Sincerely, Prince-George Nelson, Head of the Ladonia Parliament. God Bless Ladonia, and its great people.”
