Result of the Sweden election

Filed under: Election 2010, Ladonia state affairs, Events in Ladonia — Lars Vilks @ 7:02 pm

The result of the election on the 31st of July can now be made official. The election on the Internet is closed. The question was:

“Should Sweden be allowed to be annexed to Ladonia?”

This is the result of the Internet voting: 34 Yes and 36 No
The result of the voting in Ladonia: 32 Yes and 10 No

This means 66 Yes and 46 No. Thus Sweden can be annexed to Ladonia. But it doesn’t mean that Sweden immediately has ceased to exist. Not yet as this matter has to be brought to the Ladonia cabinet for final decision

Anschluss - joining

Filed under: Election 2010, Events in Ladonia, War — Lars Vilks @ 4:39 pm

On the 31st of July 1980 the project Nimis started. In 1996 Ladonia was proclaimed a free country. On Saturday Nimis will be 30 years. As a part of the celebration an election will take place. Ladonia is still at war with Sweden. A way to end this is to vote for or against Sweden joining Ladonia (Anschluss). Sweden is a mulicultural country so we think it is quite in order to let everyone vote. The voting will take place in Ladonia but also on the net. If Saturday will be a rainy day the voting can be postponed to Sunday, 1st of August. We will give a message about this later.
The Minister of Art & Jump will make a celebration protest jump. Ladonia president will be present.

The new vice president’s (Norse Stone) speech

Filed under: Election 2010, The Ministers — Lars Vilks @ 5:08 pm

Vice Presidential Victory Speech from “The Norse Mystery Stone”:

I have fought the long fight to unite the old world and the new with one new voice and long gained leadership skills! I have seen the rise of the viking explorers to the new world. Before this the rise and fall of oceans, rivers, lakes streams and glaciers too. Yes, almost from the very start all this creation when the land masses where one so very long ago!

Thank you very much for the high level of votes cast for my campaign. However, I do congratulate “The President’s Shoes” for a clear victory this time around and look forward too his leadership to be given these next 4 years .

I’ll bet they can hear all this cheering down all around this planet for our newly elected president!

And I hope the new world and the old is paying close attention, because today the voice of the Ladonian people has spoken one more via vote!

From the Rocky Hartmanburg to Wotan City, from the border stations of the Double Fox to Nimis & Arx, the voters of this nation have defied the odds and the experts to bring another

new leader to victory on our shores. I shall say in closing I will follow our new president and be an example for both government and the people of this grand nation of ours.

A comment from the new president

Filed under: Election 2010, Ladonia state affairs — Lars Vilks @ 12:00 pm

Just a short note from the old and new Presidents of Ladonia.

It was a very happy occasion today to open up the mailbox and be able to tell the President’s Shoes that they are the election winners! We hope this duality is not going to create a competition within the high office. They are both happy and surprised to be President’s. They also have a few clarifying questions: Does this mean they can both put “President” on their businesscards? So we in fact have not one but two (2) Presidents in Ladonia? The shoes also would like to congratulate the Norse Mystery Stone as our new Vice President! I’m sure our Vice President Kicki also wishes the new Presidents and Vice President the best. The shoes are of course not eating any candy even if it’s an Easter tradition here in the west. But they say that they perhaps will break out a bottle of Champagne later today to celebrate the equally unexpected as well-deserved Victory.

Best of waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllll to the new President(s).
