Chicken’s Rights

Filed under: General information, The Ministers — Lars Vilks @ 5:48 pm

Minister of Positive Ideas for the Nations of the World, Sir Phil has worked out this bill:

LADONIAN CHICKEN’S BILL OF RIGHTS

ARTICLE 1:

NO LADONIAN CHICKEN SHALL BE CONFINED TO A 24-HOUR EGG LAYING FACILITY. CHICKENS HAVE THE RIGHT TO AN EIGHT HOUR DAY WITH ADEQUATE FOOD, WATER, AND SLEEP PROVISIONS.

ARTICLE 2:

NO LADONIAN CHICKEN SHALL BE EXECUTED BY LADONIAN HUMANS FOR EATING. THOUGH THIS LAW DOES PROHIBIT LADONIAN HUMANS FROM KILLING CHICKENS, IT DOES NOT EXTEND THIS PROHIBITION TO NON-LADONIAN STATES OR PERSONS, NOR DOES THIS LAW PROHIBIT LADONIANS FROM EATING CHICKENS KILLED BY NON-LADONIANS. BUT THIS LAW DOES DISCOURAGE PERSONS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD FROM KILLING AND EATING CHICKENS.

ARTICLE 3: CRUEL EXPERIMENTS USING CHICKENS IS PROHIBITED IN LADONIA AND ARE ILLEGAL FOR LADONIANS TO PRACTICE. THE JURISDICTION OF THIS RULE APPLIES ONLY TO LADONIA AND LADONIAN EMBASSIES AND PERSONS AND PROPERTY AND IS INTENDED TO SET A HUMANE EXAMPLE FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD COMMUNITY.

ARTICLE FOUR:

ALL LADONIAN CHICKENS HAVE THE RIGHT TO FILE A GRIEVANCE FOR VIOLATIONS OF THESE RULES. GRIEVANCES CAN BE FILED AS FOLLOWS. FOUR STRESSFUL REPEATED CLUCKS MEAN THAT A CHICKEN IS REPORTING THE EXECUTION OF A COLLEAGUE FOR EATING. FIVE STRESSFUL REPEATED CLUCKS REPORT A VILOATION OF THE EIGHT HOUR EGG-LAYING DAY. SIX STRESSFUL REPEATED CLUCKS POINT OUT THAT ADEQUATE FOOD AND WATER IS NOT BEING SUPPLIED. AND SEVEN STRESSFUL REPEATED CLUCKS MEAN THAT CRUEL EXPERIMENTATION IS BEING REPORTED.

Concerning private Christmas Trees

Filed under: culture — Lars Vilks @ 11:20 am

Ladonia has the recommendation for decoration of Christmas Trees: It is absolutely out of question to use more than three balls. Preferrably they should be green but could, outside Ladonia, also be beige.

Minister gone

Filed under: The Ministers — Lars Vilks @ 2:36 pm

Taru, Minister of Teddy Animal Reservoirs, has temporarily left the cabinet for going to an unknown place. Could it be China? but it might also be Ladonia one level up. The picture of such a state and such a state of mind could very well be this:

No parrot minister

Filed under: The Ministers — Lars Vilks @ 1:31 pm

The Parrot Question

It has been extensively discussed in the cabinet whether or not we should appoint a parrot as minister. Thus following the concept from emperor Caligula who appointed a horse to consul. But the idea was already in use in the southern hemisphere as mentioned by S.P.A.Trollbinda-Honeytongue Eternal Minister of Procrastination & Poet Launderette:

“Australia has several parrots as ministers. Most of them speak with an American accent. The populace has become so used to them they can’t tell the difference between them and real people. In fact some have said there no real people left in parliament at all. Ladonia would be following a trend here, not starting one. This doesn’t seem very Ladonian to me.”

Very correct, minister, we wil NOT appoint a parrot.

This is NOT a minister in Ladonia but could be one in Australia

Escher’s prophetic gift

Already in 1913, when the famous artist M. C. Escher was only 15 years, he, probably unconsciously, performed the Ladonia National Anthem.

The research in this matter has been done by the artist and noble citizen of Ladonia Mikael Varela.
