Concerning what countries have been recognized by Ladonia, our Consul Baron Koeze immediately reminded me:

The Netherlands are recognized by Ladonia. I am very sorry for this mistake. Long live the country of Frans Hals.
I want to repeat that Ladonia do not issue passports. Especially from Nigeria and Pakistan we still have a lot of applications for citizenship with the aim of receiving passports for international use.
The writer of this letter which I recieved from Nigeria a couple of days ago wanted me to issue a Swedish passport.
Any one is welcome to become a citizen of Ladonia. But we cannot offer any jobs or housing nor passports.
Ladonia has, after a decision by the cabinet, recognized the BjornSocialist Republic.

Concerning Sweden Ladonia has de facto recognized this country as 1) we are at war with Sweden, and 2) we have a consulate and have had an ambassador. Still we do not believe that Sweden really exists. It has never been proclaimed.
He is limping and complaining our president and minister of art & jump Fredrik Axwik:
“The Ministers foot is still sore after the bad spraining last week. It’s getting better, but still can’t support the Minister for a whole days walking. The walking stick is still doing service for support of the bad foot.”
This is interesting as he speaks of himself not as president but as minister. And one can question the way he made himself president though it has been supported by the cabinet.

But it might be that there is another reason for the bad foot. Rumours say that the president with his bad foot and walking stick is imitating Lord Byron. This could very well be the explanation for his long rehabilitation.

Ladonia will participate in the Olympic Games as usual. But just as usual Ladonians for example have the tradition of running clockwise in the stadium. It should in these days of multiculturalism cause no problems. Ladonia is respected.
In order to wipe away every suspicion about a Ladonian boycott, Minister Norbert made it clear: “Why Boycott? Why not just Girlcott the Olympics!”
The president of Ladonia, Fredrik Axwik, will not protest: “The President will not look at the Olympics. The President will not go to the opening ceremonies, and in any case he will not be wearing pants if he does go.”
He is not very interested in sports. Except a Ladonian and very interesting sport: Yack Track.

In order to spread pure Ladonia all over the world a specimen of the country has arrived in Indiana, US in the hands of our minister of future science James Hartman. He found that the delivered stone from Ladonia was magnetic.
